Condition Report

A pair of gem-set earrings. Each designed as a sugarloaf onyx cabochon, with alternating cultured pearl and emerald bead surround. Length 2.5cms. Weight 15.8gms.

  • Overall condition fair. Some surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
  • With evidence of alteration.
  • Onyx black, in good condition, with minor scratches.

  • Cultured pearls white, with greyish pearly lustre, off-round shape, surface blemish.
  • Emeralds in good to fair condition with some abrasion.

  • One post fitting with hallmarks for 18ct, London.
  • With fixed posts for pierced ears.
